Today was an organizational day for me. everything is sorted and neat. My goals are to make a pair of socks a month at the least, put each item I finish into my Etsy shop, and I plan to make a sweater for each of my grandkids for Christmas next year. I have kitchen towels in need of toppers. And I have a goal to make 10 pair of wrist warmers in January.
I have an afghan 1/2 way finished in the works for my son - olive green, camouflage, and black strips. I have a crocheted shawl done except for fringing. And a pair of wrist warmers to make for a friend of my daughter's.
I also have a total of 20, 50 gm skeins of alpaca fingering yarn - 10 black, and 10 white. I need a project for using these skeins.
I joined a knitting group on Ravelry with a Harry Potter theme that is designed to push a person to complete their craft projects! I'm excited. It looks very fun.
A side disappointing note: the post office seems to have lost a package I mailed a full week before Christmas. I put insurance and tracking on the box and lost the darn paperwork. All I can figure is that the receipt got scooped into the cleanup box and thrown out after we cleaned a house. Steve and I looked everywhere we can think of. Between replacing the lady's yarn, payment, and postage - it's $120. I can't even pretend to make up for her Yule gifts for her teenage daughters being lost. I feel so bad. Lesson learned. Give utmost care to every item that is made and sold and shipped. File system for receipts. We'll go to the post office on Monday to see if there is anything we can do. I can't imagine there is without the receipt.
Tonight, I will keep on knitting...
